Dr. Horacio Plotkin, argentino, endocrinologista pediátrico, é professor da Pediatria da Escola de Medicina da Universidade  de Nebraska e responsável pela Unidade de Metabolismo Ósseo do Munroe-Meyer Institute do University of  Nebraska Medical Center situado em Omaha, Nebraska, nos Estados Unidos onde coordena uma equipe de pesquisa sobre Osteogênesis Imperfecta. Atua também no Children´s Hospital .
